Faithful God

One of my favourite scriptures in the Bible is found in the first book of Thessalonians 5:24 (NKJV):

He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.

I am sitting in my motorcar in Pietermaritzburg as the rain is coming down gently on the roof, and I am singing praises to God.  Just a week ago, we received a lot of requests, from all over our beloved South Africa, to please pray for rain. I have had reports from as far away as Namibia, as far as Livingstone, Zimbabwe, and from all over South Africa that people have received abundant rain! 

Now as I say that, I know there will be areas that are still dry. But I want to tell you, that one thing I have learnt in my life, is that God is the Faithful One. Oh yes! And that He is indeed the Rainmaker! And I, like you, if you are a follower of Christ, are one of His children and He says, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you”. Matthew 7:7. So, we rejoice in the rain that we have already received and the rain that we are still about to receive.
