The Touch of God

Genesis 32:32 (NKJV):

… He touched the socket of Jacob’s hip in the muscle that shrank.

Do you know that even today, the Jewish people will not eat this part of the animal, which is on the hip socket.  The Lord touched Jacob’s hip and from that day onwards Jacob walked with a limp.

Things often happen to us, and we don't know why at the time. Lord, why is this happening to me? Lord, I am your child. How could this happen be happening? We don't know it then, but the Lord prevents us from going into a disastrous situation. Maybe it's a relationship with someone, a business deal that has fallen flat, or an opportunity to further our education and the doors all of a sudden close, and we cannot understand why God is doing this to us. And it is God, not the devil because God loves us. He's protecting us from going down that slippery road, which takes us away from Him and eventually ends up in great sadness or destruction.

Do not be afraid of the touch of God because it's always for our good.
