Forgiveness

Mark 11:25–26 (Amplified Bible)

Whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him [drop the issue, let it go], so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you your transgressions and wrongdoings [against Him and others]. [But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your transgressions.”]

The Lord wants us to forgive, not even for the other person’s sake, but for our own sake. It’s actually for our own personal benefit that we need to forgive, otherwise the devil continually puts a heavy burden on our shoulders and accuses us all day long that we are not Christians: “We are not good enough, we’ll never make it” - it’s all a lie from the pit of hell.

So, for our own sake and mainly for God’s sake, let us forgive so that we can walk in freedom.

Jesus bless you,
